So I am buying a new car.... this story you have to read....

I researched new cars, SUV's to be particular. Based on reviews, online data and price, I opted to start with a Hyundai Tuscon as my vehicle of choice. I decided to schedule a test drive online.... What happens next will not surprise some of you, but most will at least get it.....

I walked into the Hyundai Dealer after pre-arranging my appointment to test drive their small SUV. I talked to some one on the phone before hand. When I was greeted I was asked how I could be helped, and answered I was here for a scheduled test drive.... here is the rough transcript of what went down....

Dealer Rep: Hi, has anyone helped you?

ME: I scheduled a test drive, I am a little early.

Dealer Rep: Your last name?

Me: Carrier

Dealer Rep: (Checks computer) There it is, and I know you are not "Courtney", is she here with you?

Me: er..... Actually that is me.......

I appeased the little putz with a test drive.... but you should have seen his face when I told him I was not interested in "That" car.... he did feebly try to save face.... but to no avail....

Moral of the story???? Never assume, even when you plainly see it in front of you... I want to drive my brand new Toyota Rav4 into his dealership and let him know he lost a sale...

March Already???

WOW.... the last time I posted was on December 26th??? I know I had been sick and working two jobs, but I didn't realize that I had neglected posting my adventures online for so long....

I had been sick. I actually missed nearly three weeks of work. Its a good thing I can do some of the things that I do remotely. I didn't miss it all at once, and I was able to get a day or two in per week when I felt better. For some reason this was also mentally draining. I was not able to concentrate or focus on anything. Playing hockey actually helped; it forced air deep into my lungs. I coughed a LOT. On a positive note, I have lost 15lbs since December 15th.

I have been also working two jobs. I am contracting 40 hours a week doing my IT stuff, and working part time for a friend another 15 to 20 hours. I absolutely love what I do for work. Its challenging and changes every day. I get to work with people, computers and IT systems. I Love working with technology.

I had a chance to catch a Bruins game in February, they lost in the shootout. This was the first time I had seen a shoot out at the professional level. I have participated in several as a player, but had never seen one at the end of an NHL game. But when I go to Bruin's games, I tend to focus on different things than the rest of the fans. Now I am not a NASCAR fan at all, but I am always fascinated with the Zamboni Races they hold between periods... Trouble is, that yellow one alway wins...

Now in a previous post, I mentioned that I got the chance to play hockey at Fenway Park. I am finally posting a couple of pictures. The first two might be out of order, but here I am making a sliding pad save. If you look closely, you can see the ballpark seats behind me...

Here is a kick save to the corner. Notice the lack of defensive players near me. This is not out of the ordinary, just the Bison Way....

I just like this picture. Its my desktop background right now.

I plan on posting a little more often. Now that the weather is getting better and I am no longer sick, maybe I can get out for more walks, take more pictures, discover new things and relay them all to you.
